A great place to take kids is to Somerset West's Vergelegen wine estate, which features a large walking area where you can see several plant climatic zones. Several historic homes in the Cape Dutch style are encircled by the well-kept grounds. The Stables is a restaurant that serves pizza, salads, steaks, and other typical South African dishes. Customers of the restaurant have access to a well-built playground. Come take in this stunning setting for the low cost of admission and food.
THE VINEYARD MAZE

Mazes are a popular feature in children's activity books. Naturally, kids would like navigating a real-life labyrinth. A big labyrinth of pruned vines adjoins the playground at the Vergelegen winery. For little ones, the herb garden might seem like a maze due to all the clipped hedges.

The playground at Vergelegen Wine Farm has a unique design that complements the property's historic charm. Families will be able to spend more quality time together in a less commercialized natural setting thanks to its swing sets, slides, tunnels, and tree houses.
The Vergelegen Wine Estate in Somerset West is a fantastic place to bring kids because of its expansive strolling area that displays the different plant climatic zones. A number of historic structures in the Cape Dutch architecture sit within beautifully manicured grounds. Our students will have a better grasp of history thanks to the many museums and heritage structures located here.
The Stables Restaurant serves pizza with popular South African meals like Babotie and steaks. Diners may enjoy the beautifully crafted playground. With only a little entry cost and some food, you may enjoy this one-of-a-kind park in a beautiful setting.
34. NATURE AT ROOI ELS BEACH

Rooi Els is a lengthy, undeveloped beach that is strewn with pebbles and other obstacles. As they navigate the challenging terrain in search of the refreshing pools of water, your kid will have the opportunity to connect with nature. Must be able to swim and be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Buqz Theme Park provides a fantastic opportunity for youngsters to enjoy motorboating in addition to pony rides and dinosaur rides. You must be able to swim well. The Bellville park known as Jan Muller was our top pick. Helderberg Nature Reserve, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, and Green Point Park.
35. A PARK IN GREEN POINT

There are many things to do in this large park that kids will enjoy. It is recommended that you bring your bike so you may enjoy the numerous routes that are not used by vehicles. You can just make out the Green Point stadium, a famous tourist attraction, in the distance. A large wooden waterwheel is the endpoint of a network of interconnected canals and paths. A large wooden playground with slides and swings is the main attraction for elementary school-aged children; older kids can go skateboarding, cycling, or on dog walks. Near Mouille Point Lighthouse, you'll find a variety of great restaurants, and the park and beaches are right there as well.
36. JAN MULLER PARK

A very natural park, children can come into contact with a variety of indigenous trees and flowers. Well-kept, and near to the heart of Durbanville/Bellville, the park is a breath of fresh air in this bustling region.
Jan Muller Park has many orange blossoms in spring as the coral trees come into bloom. The large jungle gym with slides and monkey bars is sure to get those little bodies moving. A basket ball court and amphitheatre are some of the other facilities available. Full of local fynbos and protected biodiversity this is a relaxing and enriching retreat in the busy area between Bellville and Tygerberg.
37. HELDERBERG NATURE RESERVE

The breathtaking beauty of this tranquil protected area will rejuvenate the hearts of both parent’s and their children. Take the time to hike on the foothills of the Helderberg (Not recommended to take kids up the higher trails), where they will see rivers and tall trees with water rushing over the bubbling brooks. Near to the information area and restaurant is the bird hide, which where bright red bishops and yellow weavers make their nests and egrets swim among the bull rushes. The picnic area is large and you may bring your own picnic.
Ascending the foothills of the Helderberg Mountains is possible on shorter hikes that last no more than an hour. Be cautious not to climb all the way up unless you are a seasoned climber in a group; there are paths that lead to the peak. Nestled in the foothills is a charming marsh bordered by a rustic boardwalk. Children may take a leisurely stroll along the terrace that surrounds this natural wetland, where they can observe the weavers from one of numerous ducks or bird shelters. Learn about the local creatures and the distinctive fynbos, reed, and bullrush plants. In order to make your stay more comfortable and educational, the restaurant and tourist office are here for you. The park is large enough to accommodate families who want to have a picnic, play soccer, and use the wooden jungle gyms. Your kid will get back in touch with nature on this budget-friendly adventure.
38. LITTLE JOOSTENBURG – NEAR CAPE GATE

The lake contributes to the serene ambiance, and the broad grounds are perpetually lush. This kid-friendly winery has a bistro and deli where you can enjoy your meal, and you can also buy picnic baskets to take with you. During the hot summer months, you may enjoy the play equipment in the shade. Plants that require little water, such as succulents, are the specialty of this nursery. Stop by Ludwig's Roses, which is close by, for a diverse assortment of roses.
39. WELTEVREDE WINE FARM

Toddlers will love this colourful mushrooms.
Indulge in a slice of pizza while taking in the sights of a genuine Cape Dutch house set amid a spacious playground. Located next to a historical farmstead there is plenty for the grown ups to see as well. A large plastic jungle gym will keep little feet active for hours.

41. MUIZENBURG SURF LESSONS
With its array of restaurants and shops, this surfer's paradise is a popular destination for families visiting Cape Town. Take in the lively ambiance as you see kids and teens riding boogie boards and surfboards both in and out of the water under brightly colored umbrellas. Mastering the art of surfing calls for nimbleness and balance. Kids will meet new pals in this laid-back setting where riding the next wave is the only goal. The Strand life-saving club and Muizenburg beach are the locations of surf schools.With a plethora of surf shops offering both board rentals and sales, Muizenburg Beach is surfer's heaven. It is one of the most family-friendly beaches in Cape Town, and the beachside eateries and takeout joints just contribute to the fantastic atmosphere.

42. GORDON’s BAY BEACH

With more parking than most, Gordon's Bay is family-friendly.
Because the ocean is slightly shallower at False Bay, the water is warmer than at other beaches. This beach is a go-to for swimmers because to its convenient parking and easygoing atmosphere. You can discover other hills covered with forests to the south. Many beaches in the Western Cape reveal their rock pools when the tide is out. Live shells and starfish abound in these fascinating specimens. Top spot crabs and little fish are sure to be children's favorites. You should also bring a little bucket and a net. Keep your distance from any surfaces that might hurt you, especially stinging blue bottles. The baggage must be supervised on the beach at all times, thus it is imperative that you go in a group. Watch out for regions with sharp rocks or waves that are about to crash. Kleinmond, Gordons Bay, Rooi Els, St. James Catwalk, and Maiden's Cove are examples of flat, protected rocky plains that are located far from the shoreline. Mineral World and Scratch Patch in Simon's town provide a more subdued rock pool experience.
43. STRAND BEACH

Kids love building sand castles!
Indulge in an ice cream cone at one of the many stores or peruse the beach souvenirs offered by the friendly merchants near the Pavilion Hotel. Water parks are another option for families. A game of putt-putt and slides on a globe. The strand life-saving club is the right place to take the family swimming. A number of surf schools are also based around here. To the north there are often kite-surfers brightening up the sky.
44. CAMPS BAY

This is a perennial favorite with Cape Town tourists since it is closer to the city center. A tropical vibe is created by the row of palm trees, and there are lots of restaurants and stores to choose from. Every outing doesn't have to cost a pretty penny! Constructing sand castles and moats is a true joy for children. At the ideal distance from the water line, wet sand clumps together. Maintain constant vigilance on your children. On the other hand, you may enjoy Hazendal Deli's cheese and wine in the spacious grounds while gazing out at the beautiful vineyards in the area. View the site's spectacular old Cape Dutch structures constructed by settlers in the 1600s and learn about history at the same time.
